1. General

What is the SJC? The Swiss Juggling Convention (SJC) is Switzerland's national juggling and circus arts gathering. SJC 2026 is the 39th edition, taking place August 21–23, 2026 in Tesserete, Ticino, organized by the volunteer collective Acrobolieri. Three days of open juggling space, workshops, shows, and an open stage, for jugglers and circus artists of all levels.

Who is it for? Everyone — from complete beginners picking up their first juggling balls to professional circus performers. No audition, no skill test, no minimum level. If you're curious about juggling or circus arts, you're welcome.

Can beginners attend, or only experienced jugglers? Beginners are very welcome. Most conventions have a large "open floor" area where people of all levels practice side by side, plus beginner-friendly workshops. Bring your own props if you have them; if not, some props are usually available to borrow on-site.

Are children welcome? Yes.

Do I need to be able to juggle to come? No — spectators, family, and friends are welcome too, especially for the evening shows and open stage.

I want to help. How do I volunteer? SJC 2026 is run entirely by volunteers, and we're always looking for more hands before and during the event — set-up, teardown, info point, workshop support, and more. If you'd like to get involved, email us at  with a bit about yourself and when you're available.
